Anniversary Weekend!

As most of you may know, Nate & I celebrated our fifth year of marriage this past Thursday. The night of our anniversary we had two little cakes from Nothing Bundt Cakes. They were so delicious! If you have a store nearby, you should definitely try them. I had Chocolate Chocolate Chip and Nate had White Chocolate Raspberry. (Shout out to Jenna for driving me to pick them up since my car died that day!)

This weekend we went for a celebratory outing. We started off the weekend by sleeping in (much needed since I’d not been feeling well). In the afternoon we headed out to Opry Mills and did some fun shopping. We were quite successful…as you can see. 😊

That night we headed out to a local restaurant called PM. They have some of the most delicious sushi I’ve ever tasted. Granted, I haven’t tasted too many, but from what I have tried, it’s pretty delicious.

I enjoyed a glass of wine along with dinner. It was a wonderful evening out!

Special occasions call for special spending. It’s easy to let yourself feel guilty for spending money on yourself. Birthdays and anniversaries deserve to be celebrated, so don’t be too hard on yourself. Special occasions are another category you can put a little money away for each month so when the time comes, you aren’t straining your budget. If you have something special coming up, maybe now is a good time to start setting a little money aside.

Have a fantastic Monday!
